Rick Shryock has been the Emergency Management Specialist at the Marion VA Medical Center for 12 years. He has earned his Professional Development Series (PDS) and the Illinois Professional Emergency Management (IPEM) certificates through IEMA. Rick has his bachelor’s degree in business management. Prior to working at the Marion VA, he was the Region-11 Coordinator for IEMA. Working in a hospital setting has provided him the opportunity to be more well rounded in his profession. HE enjoys putting together and conducting trainings and exercises, as well as providing the staff with the tools to become better prepared at home for disasters. Rick enjoys fishing, playing golf, and just enjoying nice quiet evenings at home.
