Mr. Gauvin serves the state of Illinois and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security as the Manager of Strategic Operations and Preparedness. Mr. Gauvin has over 20 years of experience in the Emergency Management Field, working in Illinois, as well as nationally and internationally. In addition to serving the state of Illinois as the Chief Planner, he also serves as the Earthquake Manager. Mr. Gauvin holds an Illinois Professional Emergency Manager (IPEM), is a proud graduate of the FEMA National Emergency Management Executive Academy (NEMEA) and is presently attending college working on his master’s degree in emergency management at Jacksonville State University.
